Motorola, the Google subsidiary announced a new concept they’re calling Project Ara, an open hardware platform centered about building modular smartphones and the parts that snap onto them.

If you remember Phonebloks a very similar concept that went viral across the web early September of this year,  Motorola is actually working with Phonebloks to make this concept become a reality.  Now this could just be a gimmick but how cool would it be if we could adding modules such as a bigger battery block, more memory, bigger storage block,  bigger speaker and so on..?
