According to reports, T-Mobile will add Apple’s flagship smartphone to its lineup, which is expected to be announced at tomorrow’s event here in New York City.
John Legere, the CEO of T-Mobile’s parent company, Deutsche Telekom AG, told Reuters this week that the T-Mobile will start carrying the iPhone 5 within three to four months.
In Dec of 2012 John Legere said the carrier would eliminate subsidies in 2013, moving completely to its “Value” plans. In doing so, it will be the first nationwide carrier to offer its customers a no long-term contracts.
Under this model, consumers will either pay the full price for the iPhone 5, or pay in monthly installments until the device is fully paid off. So expect to pay the full $649 for the 16GB iPhone 5.
We hope that T-Mobile will continue to offer unlimited data plans for the iPhone 5 on its LTE network.
