Louis Nel builds custom motorcycles out of his South African garage; this 1979 BMW R45 is one of them. A testament to his passion, this 1979 BMW R45 is his first commercial build — all others have been personal projects. Nel began by shortening the sub frame and fabricating a new seat. After covering the new seat in brown leather, Nel replaced the plastic air box and the engine covers with traditional “peanut” covers.
7 Metal West supplied the fenders and Nel fitted a PIAA headlight up front, with Posh indicators and rear light. The bars are from Renthal and have white Posh barrel grips. Stock BMW mirrors and a Motogadget Mini speedometer keep things legal, while SuperTrapp mufflers provide the excitement. Via: Bikeexif
