BMW has lifted the veil off of the 2014 X5 M50d ahead of its scheduled debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month. The M50d is the most powerful – and most expensive – diesel-burning X5 available.
The X5 M50d boasts a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that uses three turbochargers to churn out 381 horsepower and 546 lb-ft. of torque, figures that earn it the distinction of being the most powerful oil-burning straight-six on sale in Europe.
